„From the Blitz Kid glam of the New Romantics to the crackling tapes from the grottos of the Batcave and early goth, Alyssa Berrez (LYZZ) takes inspiration from a broad church of subcultural influences. The French-German artist based in Zurich, has spent years sharpening her ears to create a timeless blend of synths, drum machines and romanticist howls, creating the feeling of opening up old chests and finding a long lost tapes. It’s as if the 80s never ceased to be, so bring out your lipstick, smudge your eyeliner and strap on your heels.“

Growing up in the depths of tradgoth culture, all over Zürich to Paris, years later LYZZ began pursuing the mission of introducing her own dark twists to EBM rhythms, 80’s Italo Disco and Electronica closer to mainstream club culture. Her main motivation lies in finding the right tracks that will hit that soft spot of frisson in the dancer's body. She puts her main focus on the „feeling of body“, which can be traced back into EBM’s long way of abstraction through techno culture and its contemporary community.
An obsessive music enthusiast herself, LYZZ turned her late-night bedroom vortexes through music archives in the deep lost web into a shared collective ecstasy on the dancefloor.
